Frequently Asked Questions

Our fishing guides get the privilege to fish with many anglers. We work with first timers and experienced anglers regularly. We have taken people varying in ages from 8-80+ years old. As long as the angler is comfortable walking on unpaved trails and wading in the river(typically knee deep), everyone is welcome to come fishing with us!

Utah Troutfitters is proud to employ some of the best guides in the state that have the knowledge and experience needed to have a successful day on the water. Fish feeding patterns vary greatly due to uncontrollable factors such as weather, flows, time of year, etc. Thanks to our skillful guides the odds of catching fish are extremely high, but never guaranteed. 

Your guide will give you a call or text the day before the trip to set up the meet time and meet location. For our local trips we will meet in either Heber or Wanship and meeting times vary from 6am-12pm, depending on the type of trip booked. If you would like to get out on the water at a specific time please let us know in advance. 

Half day trips are 3-4 hours and full day trips are 7-8 hours. This does not include travel time.

At Utah Troutfitters we can do groups of 20+ guests. To ensure we have the correct amount of guides available for your trip please reach out to us before booking, preferably two weeks in advance.

Most of our guides are accustomed to picking up clients and dropping them back off after the trip, but please let us know while booking that you will need a ride.
